Daniel Edward Stienstraw, Sr.

Daniel Edward Stienstraw, Sr., 82, of Washington, died October 6, 2022, in his home. He was born June 27, 1940, the son of the late Jacob and Stella Ann Morris Stienstraw. Daniel owned and operated Stienstraw Construction for more than 40 years. He enjoyed fishing and camping, woodworking, and gardening, rebuilding engines and working on his truck. He also loved spending time on his tractor. On May 7, 1960, Daniel married Margaret Marie Nelson, who died July 10, 2016. Surviving are two sons, Daniel E. (Amie) Stienstraw, Jr., and Robert “Bob” (Amy) Stienstraw; two daughters, Judith (Abed) Bssisso, and Darlene Jones; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Jacob Stienstraw, who passed at birth. Memorial Donations may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O.
