Constance M. Polen

Constance “Connie” M. Polen, 79, of Washington, died on September 24, 2022, at Greenery in Canonsburg. She was born on March 5, 1943, in Kenbridge, Virginia, a daughter of the late Woodrow Lucy Biggs, Sr. and Jessie Louise Abernath. Connie was a homemaker, always taking care of her house and family. She loved gardening, reading, and puzzles. On March 2, 1963, Connie married Dennis Edward Polen, who died on February 2, 2016. Preceding her in death is a daughter-in-law, Patricia Polen who was Denis’s wife; and three brothers, Woodrow Biggs Lucy, Jr., James M. Lucy, and John C. Lucy. Surviving is a son, Denis (Barb) E. Polen of Bloomsburg; a daughter, Mary L. Paradis of Connecticut; a brother, Alfred Lucy of Illinois; a sister, Florence E. Jochamn of Virginia; four grandchildren, Joshua Paradis, Kylea Sage Paradis, Alexandria Rose Polen, and Aaron Edward Polen; as well as two great grandchildren, Ethan and Joelle. Friends and family will gather in William G. Neal Funeral Home. Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the time of service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
