Connie Lee Jinkens

Connie Lee Jinkens, 79, of Claysville, died on May 14, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born on February 14, 1942, in Washington, a daughter of the late Alvin Wade and Hulda Edith Horr Ewing. Mrs. Jinkens graduated from West Alexander High School as the class Valedictorian. Connie was a partner in a hair salon in Taylorstown for forty years. An active member of Claysville Methodist Church, Connie was always baking cookies, and loved volunteering wherever she was needed. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren Jacob and Trinity. On May 25, 1985, she married Robert Edward “Eddie” Jinkens, who died on December 21, 2019. Surviving are four children, Tammy (Lanny) Layton, Tim (Zina) Kimmins, Hope D. (the late Bill) Casterline, and Jeffrey (Donna) Jinkens; a brother, Charles Barry Ewing; nine grandchildren, Jacob Ross Layton, Trinity Marie Kimmins, David (Cassandra) Jinkens, Rachel (Gregg) Spencer, Stefanie (Luke) Renner, Trey Casterline, Amber (Eric) Gangster, Andy (Erin) Jinkens, and Jeffrey Jinkens II; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are two granddaughters, Abilene Marie Kimmins and Courtney Jinkens; three brothers, Glenn Layton Ewing, Alvin Wade Ewing, and Harry Neale Ewing; and three sisters, Ruth Lois Ewing Pappas, Mary Joan Ewing Lennox, and Nancy Edith Ewing Rowe. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, May 19, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021, with Pastor Rico Vespa officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
