Cleo Marlene Phillips, 77, of Washington, died on Saturday, August 26, 2017, in UPMC, Pittsburgh.
She was born on June 9, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late William H., and Beryl M. Hodgkinson Hillbery.
Mrs. Phillips attended Claysville High School, and was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church.
She had worked at Hixenbaugh Nursing home as a nurse’s aide.Cleo Loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed travelling and baking.
On March 29, 1958, she married Donald W. Phillips, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Donald L. (Denise) Phillips, of Ft. Lauderdale, James M. (Michele) Phillips, of Canton Township, and David W. (Mary) Phillips, of Canonsburg; two sisters, Jane Hillbery-Miller, of North Carolina, and Barbara (Lowell) Hillbery-Swiger, of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren, Amanda Phillips (Mike) Bullard, Justin (Summer) Phillips, Paige L. Phillips, Donald L. Phillips, and Carley Phillips; three great grandchildren, Annabelle Blackwood, Hunter Phillips, and Logan L. Phillips, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, William L. Hillbery, and a sister, Yvonne Hillbery-Wilson.
Services and burial were private, and held at the convenience of the family.
