Charles Merle Watson, Jr.

Charles Merle Watson, Jr., 61, of Claysville, died October 24, 2022, in Washington Hospital. He was born July 26, 1961, in Washington, a son of the late Charles Merle Watson, Sr. and Jacqueline Julian Watson. A graduate of McGuffey High School and Washington Institute of Technology, he worked for Washington County Airport, as an electronics technician. He also worked at Cabela’s and Lenscrafters. An avid Steelers and Pitt football and basketball fan, he loved spending time with his nephew Matthew, with whom he was very close. He was Christian by faith. Charles is survived by his brother, Jeff Watson (Lynn); a nephew, Matthew Julian Watson, all of Claysville; and his companion, Kathy Plants. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Morgan and Martha Roseanna Cox Watson, and Anthony and Theresa Arena Julian. Family and friends will gather Friday, October 28, 2022, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, the place of service, Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 11 am. Inurnment will be private.
