Charles Edwin Lemley

Charles Edwin Lemley, 83, of Washington, died November 21, 2022, in the Donnell House. He was born March 12, 1939, in Old Concord, the son of the late Charles and Martha McCormick Lemley. A 1957 graduate of Trinity High School, he was proud to work on the Trinity High School Reunion Committee. Charles worked for McGraw-Edison, now known as Cooper Industries, for 35 years as a winder. He loved woodworking and was a member of Washington Woodcarvers Group. He carved cane heads and wanted to be known as “the Cross Man”, handing out wooden crosses to the people he met. He enjoyed craft shows, square dancing, and spending time with friends and family. He was an auctioneer’s helper on weekends and a member of Sunset Masonic Lodge 237. Charles attended Faith United Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his daughters, Stacy Till, and Kristen Lemley; sisters, Beth D. Work, and Brenda D. (Robert) Simpson, grandson, James Derek Till; former wife, Jeannette Lemley; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Friday, November 25, 2022, 1 pm – 3 pm, followed by a service at 3 pm, in William Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Concord Presbyterian Church, 155 Old Concord Rd, Prosperity, PA 15329.
