Charles Post “Chuck” Knox, 80, of Washington, died August 23, 2023, in the Donnell House. He was born October 17, 1942, in Washington, the son of the late Clyde Munroe and Dorothy Belle Post Knox. A 1960 graduate of Claysville High School, Chuck was a farmer and worked as a meat cutter for Green Valley Packing for forty years. Chuck was Christian by faith. He was a member of Mountain Valley Trail Riders. He loved his horses, and even rode in the Indy 500 parade on one of them. He also loved his beagle dogs, and hunting. Chuck really enjoyed being outdoors and “playing in the dirt”, gardening and doing other yardwork. He was known on the CB radio as “Charliehorse.” On October 17, 1998, Charles married Victoria Lynn Bentz, who survives. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tamera (Nicholas) Brickl; stepdaughters, Kristen (Ray) Robinson, Angela (Brent) Laurine; sisters, Frances (Sonny) Moorehead, and Cindy (Tom) Munnell; grandchildren, Aaron, and Olivia Brickl; as well as many nieces and nephews. Chuck was preceded in death by his grandson, Shawn Kroesen, and a brother, George Knox. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330. Family and friends will be received Monday, August 28, 2023, 2 until 4 pm, and 6 until 8 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, followed by a service on Tuesday, August 29th, at 10 am.
