Charles W. Dillie Jr. Charles “Chuck” W. Dillie Jr., 88, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 10, 2024. He was born July 22, 1935, in Washington Hospital, a son of Charles W. Dillie Sr. and Mildred Peterman Dillie. Mr. Dillie was a longtime member of Trinity Church in Washington. He was a 1953 graduate of Washington High School, a 1957 graduate of Duke University, and a graduate of Kellogg School of Management, where he received an MBA. Mr. Dillie was co-owner/president of Dillie Motor Freight. He was a professor of business management at Point Park College and a realtor/broker of Northwood Realty and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. He served on the board of directors of many organizations. He most recently was named an honorary board member of the Washington County Historical Society. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are brother Harry Duane Dillie (Carolyn B.); niece Jacqueline Dillie Melo; and great-nephew Jacob Melo. Surviving are his wife, Claire O’Neill Staples Dillie; niece, Carolyn L. Dillie Briselli (Dave); great-niece, Michaella Melo Ganey (D.J.); and many friends and colleagues.
