Carole Jean Giacometti

Carole Jean Wilson Giacometti, 86, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, in North Strabane Rehab and Wellness Center in Canonsburg. She was born July 18, 1937, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of the late George and Olive Arthur Wilson. On July 12, 1957, she married Robert D. Giacometti, who died on October 20, 2018. Mrs. Giacometti was a graduate of Chartiers- Houston High School and worked as an activities manager in the healthcare business. She was a member of Meadow Lands United Methodist Church. Mrs. Giacometti enjoyed music, TV, reading, dancing, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. She was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of South Strabane Fire Department. She was 911 dispatcher for South Strabane Township. Surviving are her son, Robert J. “BobbyG.” Giacometti (Tammie S.); grandchildren Tiffany Yurinko (Bryan) and Josh Giacometti (Paxton), both of Washington; great-grandchildren, Shi Tharp (Zach) of Burgettstown and Ashlee and Alexis Yurinko of Washington; great-great-grandchildren, Averee and Aubree Tharp; and brother William (Delores) Wilson. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are brothers Jim and Butch Wilson. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday April 23 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday April 24 2024. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery.
