Carol Ann Montgomery

Carol Ann Montgomery, 79, of Washington, died on December 11, 2022, in the Donnell House. She was born on June 30, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of the late Harold and Hazel Rowley Sweitzer. A graduate of Washington High School, she attended North Ten Mile Baptist Church. Carol had worked for H&R Block and DuBois Optical. A kind and generous person, Carol was always willing to help family, friends and neighbors. She adored her beloved grandchildren, and treasured family vacations at the beach. On February 8, 1964, she married the love of her life, Gerald Montgomery, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Lisa (Jeffrey) Hackney, Kevin Montgomery, and Beth Mounts; grandchildren, Brianna (Douglas) Hoover, Victoria (Anit) Sahu, Elyssa Bradey, Grant Montgomery, Garret Montgomery, Stefanie Mounts, Matthew Montgomery, and Andrew Mounts; a great granddaughter, Addison Hoover; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three sisters, Doris, Betty and Mary. Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, with Pastor John Friend of the First Baptist Church in Connellsville officiating. Burial will follow in North Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery.
