Carmela Perry, 89, of Washington, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in the Washington Hospital, surrounded by family. She was born on May 18, 1929, in Washington, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Arena Angellilo. Carmela was a graduate of Washington High School. A mother to many, she helped raise the neighborhood kids, and her home was considered a second home to her children’s friends. Mrs. Perry loved her family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, and bowled with the Alpine League for many years. On April 6, 1963, she married Carmen N. Perry, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Lynette (Ted Odder) Toth, of Florida, Tina (Don Gshinsky) Perry, of Washington, Carmen N. (Joyce) Perry, Jr., of Washington and Tami (John Veltri) Perry, of Washington; two sisters, Jilda (Carmen) Alberta, of Washington and Jemima (the late Tony) Perry, of Washington; six grandchildren, Nikki (Josh) Kolkedy, Shauntae Seiler, Toni Perry, Sabrina Wyland, Vance Wyland and Trey Larson; five great grandchildren, Ashlyn Kolkedy, Concetta Westfall, Makenzie Fargo, Jeremiah Larson and Milan Larson; her best friend for more than 60 years, Rose Calabro; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Luanne Wyland and her husband Clint, a grandson, Travis Larson, and two brothers, Daniel and Joseph Angellilo. Friends will be received on Friday, August 17, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, August 18, 2018, with Rev. Susan Clegg officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
