Early on the morning of March 8, 2022, the Danley family lost the patriarch of their family, Carl M. Danley, 83, of Washington. Even in his final moments, he never lost his wonderful sense of humor. He was born on November 28, 1938, in Washington, a son of the late Carl E. Danley and Susan F. Mounts Danley. Carl was a graduate of Chartiers Houston High School. Upon graduation he proudly went to work at Green Cove Farm. Throughout his life, Carl valued and embodied hard work, finally retiring from Washington Mould after 35 years of service. After retirement, Carl enthusiastically helped his family with anything they needed around the house. From mowing and repairs to help with projects, he could always be counted on. The most amazing father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend and Steelers fan, he was loved by all who crossed his path. He was loyal, caring, and would help everyone, especially his family. His family was his greatest joy. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Charlene Minor. Also surviving are four children, Cathleen (Ken) Seybert, of Washington, Gretchen (Ron) McNary, of McMurray, Chalise (Joe) Engle, of Washington, and Shawn Buckley, of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Lois (the late Joe) Breckons, Mary Ann (the late Walt) Maze, and Ethel (Ron) Cole; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Tim) Kruger, Keil (Felicia) Seybert, Soren McNary, Sloane McNary, Freya McNary, Justin Putz, Joie Engle, and Jayden Engle; three great grandchildren, Arya Seybert, Penelope Kruger, and Kaden Seybert; and a favorite uncle to many of his nieces and nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Yvonne Buckley; and four siblings, Opal Morrison, Alvin Danley, Sam Danley, and Pete Danley. Friends will be received on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., the time of a Service of Remembrance, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA.
