Brian Kenneth Shaffer

Brian Kenneth Shaffer, 43, of Avella, died April 3, 2021, at home. He was born May 20, 1977, in Morgantown, WV, the son of Chester Shaffer of Claysville and the late Judy Varner Shaffer. Brian graduated from McGuffey High School and worked as a bricklayer for Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers Union. He was a member of the Meadowlands Sportsmen’s Association. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Surviving to cherish his memory are a daughter, Hailie Gaso of Greene County; a brother, Nathan Lee Shaffer of Claysville; a sister, Heather Lynn Shaffer (Jonathan) Eustis, of West Alexander; nephews, Levi and Nathan; niece, Paulette; his girlfriend Brenda Crow, her daughter, Summer Crow; and best friend Jason Plants.
