Brian Leslie Russi, 59, of Washington, died Monday, May 6, 2024, in the Donnell House, Washington. He was born February 25, 1965, in McMurray, a son of the late Robert Russi and Lois Bell Russi. Mr. Russi was a graduate of Peters Township High School and Western Area Career and Technology Center, where he studied marketing. He was employed by Giant Eagle in McMurray, from where he retired after 30 years. Mr. Russi was a past member of Masonic Blue Lodge in Canonsburg. He loved watching his son in band and musicals. He enjoyed gardening, especially growing sun flowers. He enjoyed watching television shows, including Let’s Make a Deal, Price is Right, and Pro Wrestling. He loved collecting old lanterns, camping at French Creek and Pymatuning years ago with his parents, and day trips to Erie and Mingo Park. Mr. Russi’s favorite girl, Ellie, his Dachshund, was always by his side. On February 13, 1993, he married Lisa Elenitsas Russi, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Brandon Michael Russi of Pittsburgh; his sisters, Carol (Joe) Dempsey of Tampa, Fla., and Cheryl (Danny) McIntyre of Tampa, Fla.; his brother-in-law, David McKeown of North Huntington; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Deceased is his sister, Kathy McKeown, and his brother, Robert “Bobby” Russi. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Home, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2024. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses, aids, and staff at the Donnell House. Memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Children’s Hospital.
