Bonnie Jean Bird, 80, of Washington, passed away May 13, 2024, in the Donnell House, Washington. She was born November 2, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of the late Clifford Ewing and Ida Ewing-Allen. Bonnie was a 1961 graduate of Washington High School and had attended Washington Hospital School of Nursing. She was known throughout her life as Daughter, Sister, Cousin and Aunt. However, the absolute joy of her life was being known as Wife, Mom, Grammy and Nana. She was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and other family members. She was also an avid sports enthusiast and loved animals. Bonnie was a member of the Lutheran Church. On October 9, 1964, she married Jesse “Ron” Ronald Bird, who passed away May 17, 1993. Surviving are three children, Sherry Lynn (Kurt) Pilz, Christy Michelle (Anthony Marinelli) Bird and Wendy Denise (Mike) Hareza, and five grandchildren, Joshua Ronald Pilz (Dr. Miranda Boyden, fiancé), Jesse Matthew Pilz, Ryan Anthony Comfort, Brian Andrew Martos Jr. and Emily Jean Hareza. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Home, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, with the Rev. Robert Grewe officiating.
