Beverly Jo Farrar, 80, of Avella, died Sunday, November 3, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born January 27, 1944, in Pecos, Texas, a daughter of the late Robert Franklin Anderson and Audra Buckelew Anderson. Mrs. Farrar graduated from high school in Deming, New Mexico, and attended the University of New Mexico as well as Bethany College in West Virginia. For 25 years, she worked as a cashier at Bethany College. She also worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer. Beverly enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting. She was a member of the Order of Easter Star #404 for 59 years. Surviving is her husband of 60 years, John Robert Farrar, whom she married August 10, 1964. Also surviving are three daughters, Audra Brigich of Avella, Joey McConn (Rodney) of Avella and Jonie Farrar-Bartlett (Jeff) of Upper St. Clair; a brother, Franklin Berry “Buster” Anderson of Tucson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Jessica Brigich (Dan Minor), John Mark Brigich (Vanessa), Chasten McConn, Tyler McConn (Shauna), and Austin McConn; eight great-grandchildren, Hoyt, Lelana, Leah, Allison, Jayden, Haegen, Dustin, and Carter; nephews and nieces, Stacey, Michelle, Ginger, Joy, Butch, Hoss, Mike, Tammy, Amy, Elizabeth, Susan, and Janet; a cousin, Cecil Lee; brother-in-law, Tom Farrar; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Singleton and Patty Richardson. Deceased is a brother-in-law, Bill Farrar. Friends will be received on Thursday, November 7th, from 3 till 7 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. The Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. All other services will be private.
