Betty Marcella Pienkosky, 71 of Washington, died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare. She was born December 11, 1946 in Washington, the daughter of the late John Thomas Craig Sr. and Kathryn Poskosky Craig. Betty was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School and worked as a medical transcriptionist at Washington Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 2009. She was a member of Glenn Street Free Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the church hospitality committee. Betty enjoyed taking care of her family. On May 29, 1970, she married John Pienkosky, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Justin (Julie Crouse) Pienkosky of Washington; two brothers, Earl Craig of Imperial and John T. Craig Jr. of Ambridge; a half-sister, Virginia Matijevich of Burgettstown and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are a daughter, Lisa Pienkosky; a half-sister, Mary Ann Alsko and a half-brother, Andrew Bardosky. Friends will be received Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Neal officiating, Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens.
