"Nan" Betty Lee Daugherty, 85, of Washington, died on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at the home of her granddaughter and caregiver, Kimberly J. Daugherty, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 27, 1934, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Henry, and Inez Ullom Robison. Betty was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. In 1996, she retired from the Washington County Health Center. She loved her iPad, watching Lifetime movies, cooking and baking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. On March 14, 1959, she married Joseph Edward Daugherty, who died on June 30, 1995. Surviving are four children, Patricia Dillon, Doris Daugherty, Joseph H. Daugherty, and D. Marlene Daugherty, all of Washington; seven grandchildren, Kimberly and Renee Daugherty, John, Joshua and Sandra Sheppard, and Joseph and Melanie Daugherty; nineteen great grandchildren, Kanesha and Kierra Daugherty, Alex, Keith, Sarah, Autumn, Joshua, Emily, Lily, and Katelynn Sheppard, Hailey Neel, Charles D. “Trey Thomas III, Dara Thomas, Jalen and Jordan Tinsley, Kyeonna, Kye’Shawn, and Ka-Ron Whitlock, and Tara Keenan; four great-great grandchildren, Kalen Daugherty, Aalaiyah and Aalaysia Brown, and Dylan Bauer Jr., and another great-great grandson due in March. Deceased are two grandchildren, Tara and Jason Simms; nine brothers, and two sisters. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the time of services, with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
