Betty Anderson, 88, of Prosperity, died Friday, October 14, 2022, in Donnell House. She was born June 28, 1934, in Cedar Springs, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William and Rosella Riggs Compton. Mrs. Anderson worked as a seamstress at Bobby Brooks for 22 years and as a bus driver for disabled students at D&W Bus company for 15 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family anytime she could, as well as sewing, painting, crafts, and crafts shows. On April 22, 1950, she married Raymond Wilson Anderson, who died December 12, 2017. Surviving are four daughters, Betty (the late Edward) Shingle, Sharon (Bill) Wilson, Mary (Dan) Hathaway, and JoAnn (Roger) Hull; eight grandchildren, Eddie (Missy) Shingle, Sissy (Sam) Jackson, Ray (Eva) Shingle, Coty (Lisa) Shingle, Bill (Stacie) Wilson, Heather (Phil) Ruetschi, Ben (Lisa) Hathaway, and Roger (Alexa) Hull; 21 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Deceased is a great-grandson, Noah Hathaway. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 18th, from 2 till 6 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House, Concordia Hospice of Washington, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
