Barbara Elaine Watson

Barbara Elaine Watson, 76, of Washington, died June 21, 2023, in UPMC, Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born March 8, 1947, in Clarksburg, WV, the daughter of the late Frank Woodford and Dolly Talkington Sands. A graduate of Magnolia High School, New Martinsville, WV, and West Liberty University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education. Barb worked as a bank teller at Frick Tri-County Federal Credit Union. She was involved in Girl Scouts as a troop leader and LHH Rangers, as an adult leader. She enjoyed all kinds of puzzles, quilting, knitting, and crocheting. She collected Coca-Cola and American flag memorabilia. She loved horses and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed telling stories about her family, and herself, and was an avid Steelers fan. On November 8, 1969, Barb married Dale Vaughn Watson, who survives. Also surviving is her son, Aaron Watson; daughter, Tara Smith; brothers, Frank (Mica) Sands, and Allen (Jennifer) Sands; sisters, Debbie Jo (Don) Powell, and Lori Sands; grandchildren, Corrine, Alex, Donavan, Zachary, Eain, and Tabitha; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, June 27, 2023, 4-7 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, the place of service on June 28th at 10 am. Entombment will be private in Forest Lawn Gardens. Following the service, a wake will be held at the Ellsworth Sportsmen’s Club, 20 Ten Mile Lane, Scenery Hill, PA 15360. Doors will open at 11 a.m.
