Barbara Louise Riggle

Barbara Louise Riggle, 91, of Washington, died on November 25, 2023, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born on November 5, 1932, in North Bethlehem Township, a daughter of the late Isaac Raymond and Margaret Stathers VanVoorhis. Barbara was a member of Washington Alliance Church. She enjoyed sewing, church quilting, crafts and serving the Lord. Most of all, she loved family gatherings and spending time with family and friends. Her husband, Luther Riggle, died on August 23, 1984. Surviving are three daughters, Margaret (Patrick) Takash, Linda (the late John) Krocsko and Joyce Crouse; four grandchildren, Patrick A. Takash, Jeffrey Takash, Michael Krocsko and Matthew Krocsko; and six great grandchildren, Marissa Takash, Ryan Takash, Kayla Takash, Cole Takash, Michael R. Krocsko and Jonathan Krocsko. Deceased are two brothers, Henry (Tommy) VanVoorhis and Isaac Robert VanVoorhis; and a sister, Evelyn Marie Mowl. Friends and family are welcome on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Bill Bard officiating. Burial will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Mrs. Riggle may be made to Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
