Barbara Leslie Anderson, 62, of Washington, died on September 19, 2022, in her home. She was born on March 5, 1960, in Tacoma, Washington, a daughter of the late William And Maude Brewer-Hubbard. A 1978 graduate of Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington, Barbara went on to earn a Medical Assistant degree in 1982, from Laurel Business Institute. She also earned a certificate in 1987 in Diamontology and Gemology. Barb loved to barrel race her horse when she was not volunteering for the Washington State Mounted Search and Rescue. She was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. An energetic, intelligent, organized, self-motivated woman who learned very quickly, she was adept at any task or job she was presented with. It never ceased to amaze her husband Jamie how much initiative she exhibited, and her her ability to adapt to any and every situation. Barbara trained dogs under a German Master Trainer. She worked as a secretary and office manager at Forest Drive Baptist Church, in Columbia, SC, and in sales and customer service at Dems House of Diamonds, in Columbia, SC. Mrs. Anderson had also worked as the office manager for a cardiology practice and as a certified patient account representative at Liberty Regional Medical Center, both in Hinesville, GA. She was compassionate and had a passion for helping others, which made her an excellent caregiver. Barbara enjoyed bowling, knitting, music, physical fitness, crafts and gardening. On October 24, 1987, she married Jamie Anderson, who survives. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2022. Entombment in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum will follow.
