Audrey Ruth Sims, born on the first day of March 1934, of Washington, formerly of Rostraver Township, passed into the arms of her loving savior, Jesus Christ, Friday the 28th day of February 2025, a day short of completing 91 years in this world. She was a daughter of the late George Teegarden and Ruth Robison Teegarden Rohrer, who proceeded her in death. Audrey was married to Thomas Sims Sr., who passed away in 2021. She will be missed by her children, Thomas (Birgit) Sims Jr., LuAnn (Bill) Lewicke, Steven (Shannon) Sims, and Donald (Brian) Sims. Her son Edwin (Linda) Sims proceeded her in death. Audrey was blessed with 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Also surviving are siblings, Doris Hallermiere, Robert Teegarden, and Janet Thomas. Her brothers, Howard Teegarden and Richard Teegarden, and sister, Wilma Jean Sensky, proceeded her in death. She graduated from Trinity High School and Geneva College. She was a teacher at Friendship Christian School until her retirement. Audrey resided in her final years at Bellmead and Southmont on the Presbyterian Senior Care campus in Washington, where the staff cared for her wonderfully and loved her dearly. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Friday, March 7, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Audrey's honor to Presbyterian Senior Care, Olive Branch Baptist Church, Belle Vernon, or Trinity Anglican Church, Washington
