Ardith Delayne Wier

Ardith Delayne Wier, 71, of Avella, died on January 12, 2021, in Transitions Health Care, Washington. She was born on November 5, 1949, in Avella, a daughter of the late Wayne and Nellie “Peggy” Bedford Polen. Ardith was a member of Avella Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed making quilts, doing word puzzles and word games, and reading. On May 28, 1966, she married James Ray Wier, who died on October 17, 2020. Surviving are two sons, James (Yvonne) Wier, of Avella, and David Wier, of Avella; a daughter, Romona Wier, of Avella; a sister, Linda (Danny) Green, of Greenville, SC; a grandchild, Aeryn Wier; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Ed Polen; and a sister, Leanette Polen. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington, PA.
