Anna Christine Shawver, 37, of Redding, CA, passed away into the arms of her Savior, following a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento, CA. She was unafraid of dying, and very strong in her faith.She was born on September 4, 1980, in Washington, a daughter of Samuel R. Shawver, of Williamstown, WV, and Karen A. Pryor Shawver, of Scenery Hill.As a child, Anna attended Waverly Elementary School, in Waverly, WV, then Alliance Christian School, in Morgantown, WV. She was home-schooled from sixth to twelfth grade. Anna attended Shasta Community College in Redding, CA., where she studied graphic design.Ms. Shawver attended Bethel Church, in Redding, CA.Anna’s passion in life was helping the poor, and she did so during her travels to schools, and on mission trips through Calvary Campground, in Ashland ,VA.An energetic young lady, she loved to read, sing, and play guitar with her sisters. Anna also enjoyed cross stitch, photography, creative writing, and art. She was gifted in working with children, and they loved her wherever she went. Anna was a bright light to her family, and her laughter will forever be missed.Surviving, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Leah K. (Eben) Haught, of Vienna, WV, and Laura C. (Charles) Miller, of Washington; two nephews, Levi and Benjamin Haught; her paternal grandmother, Patricia Shawver, of Williamstown, WV, as well as hundreds of friends who will miss her dearly.Deceased is a sister, Tracy L. Crowe, her maternal grandparents, Victor C. Pryor, Jr., and Lois Ann Pryor, and her paternal grandfather, Robert Shawver.Friends will be received on Friday, February 9, from 7 to 8 p.m., the time of service, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, with Rev. Daniel Lutz officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating a book in her memory to any children’s library.
