Anna Margaret Rea Schofield, 97, formerly of Hickory, died peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the Bethel Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 22, 1926, in Hickory, a daughter of the late Joseph Vincent Rea and Roxanna Briggs Bissett Rea. She was a member of the Washington Alliance Church, Sanitarium Road, Washington, for over 50 years. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, cooking, sewing, and making crafts. She loved her family. On August 25, 1943, she married John Schofield, Jr., who passed on September 29, 2011. They had four children, all of whom are surviving: daughter, Connie (Vince) Crider and granddaughter, Katherine; son, Eric Schofield; and grandson, David (Rayna) Schofield; great- grandsons, Maxwell and Elliot; and great- granddaughter, Willa Mae; granddaughter, Laura (Mike) Mueller; great- grandson, Zachary; and great-granddaughters, Abigail and Zoey; and granddaughter, Rebecca Schofield; great-grandson, Isaac; daughter, Roxann Drabeck; and grandson, Michael (Valarie) Schofield; and great- grandsons, Cameron and Ryan; and granddaughter, Cristen (David) Nopwaskey; and great-grandson, Logan; and great-granddaughter, Leah; and daughter, Susan (Jim) Brodnick; and granddaughters, Anna and Abbey. Deceased are a stepsister, Emma Bissett Arrigo; stepbrother, Howard Bissett; and a sister, Stella Rea Evans. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m., on Friday, November 3, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held on Saturday, November 4, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Brian Greenleaf officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery.
