Ann M. Murin, 89, of Washington, died May 30, 2023, in Strabane Woods of Washington. She was born May 1, 1934, in Washington, the daughter of the late George and Agnes Tomecko Gersna.- Ann attended Trinity High School and was a devout member of Immaculate Conception Church. Ann was very active with her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and family gatherings and keeping up with family traditions. She also loved to play cards and was in a card club. On September 3, 1955, Ann married John A. Murin, who died May 6, 2015. Surviving are her children, Donna (Gus) Moniodes, Patricia (Mark) Wheeler, Thomas Murin (Tracey), and David Murin ; daughter-in-law, Nancy Brown; grandchildren, Natalie (Barry) Ridgeway, Arlene Carter, Nathan Murin (Alyssa), Jacob Murin (Kim), Pamela Silverblatt (Craig), Annie Zalaznik (Donnie), Tyler Murin (Kaedryn), David Michael Murin, Grace Murin, and Grant Murin; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Paisley, Weldon, Zoe, Nora, Isabelle, Emilia, John, Luke, Agnes, Daphne, and Frances; several nieces and nephews; close friends and family. Ann was preceded in death by a son, George Murin; and siblings, Margaret Dombrowski, George Gersna, and Rose Gersna. Family and friends will be received Sunday, June 4, 2023, 2-7 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. The family will recite the rosary at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, June 5th in Immaculate Conception Church at 10 am. The burial will be Monday, June 12, 2023, at 11 am, in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Anyone wishing to attend should meet at the funeral home. The procession will leave the funeral home promptly at 10:30 am.
