Alvin Randolph “Randy” Ford, 77, of Lone Pine, died Saturday, March 2, 2024, at St. Clair Hospital, following a brief illness. Randy was born September 28, 1946, in Washington. He was predeceased by his parents Alvin E. Ford and Helen. E. Mounts Ford of Washington. He graduated from McGuffey High School in 1964 and worked at a variety of jobs in his lifetime. His last two places of employment were Western Center and he retired from Smith’s Appliances in Washington. Randy was protestant by faith. He enjoyed many activities but especially liked garage and yard sales. He also restored old furniture for family and friends. He also enjoyed watching the “Price is Right,” “MASH,” and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also loved all his cats and dogs. On June 11, 1982, he married Mary Jo Mitchell, who survives. He is also survived by a brother, Gary (Kathy) Ford; his children, Tom (Cara) Ford, Lori Ann (Keith) Pentland and Andy Ford; his grandchildren, Keifer (Lisa) Pentland, Brian (Marilee) Pentland, Collin (Megan) Pentland, Alex (Molly) Ford, Jessica Ford and Zachary Ford; great-grandchildren Maddie, Sylvia, Ledia, Riley and Remi; special-in-laws Butch and Billie Hertig; several nieces and nephews, including, Alison (Rick), Kelli, Troy (Tammy), Ashley (Gena), Chelsea (AJ), Kylee, Colten, Walker, Kolby, Mykel and Miles; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginger Ford and a brother, Carl Ford. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, where a service will be held on that date at 4 p.m. with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, at Randy’s request, please make donations to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 Route 136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
