Alice Eleanor Shuba, 85, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in Palm Bay Hospital, Florida. She was born August 19, 1938, in Washington, a daughter of the late Harry Pettit and Eleine Lyons Pettit. Mrs. Shuba was a graduate of Trinity High School. She had a passion for horses. Mrs. Shuba was the owner and operator of Keystone Harness in Meadow Lands. On June 22, 1957, she married Stanley Joseph Shuba Sr., who died September 16, 2019. Surviving are a son, Stanley J. Shuba Jr. of Washington; four daughters, Luanne (Daniel) Green of Malabar, Florida, Karen (the late Jimmie) Ritter of Washington; Joyce Arbic of Puerto Rico and Sandra Dillie of Washington; a brother, Charles (Ethel) Lyons of Arkansas; two sisters, Peggy (Bill) Rice of Scenery Hill and Lois McCombs of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Randy Shuba; a brother, Harry Pettit; and a sister, Patty Barnes. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, where services will directly follow, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery.
