Office manager of Strope's Speed Shop. Cheryl A. Strope, 57, of Avella, died unexpectedly at 12:37 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2005, in the Washington Hospital emergency room. She was born May 11, 1948, in Washington, a daughter of Dorothy Brownlee Andrews of Washington and the late Lyndon "Dutch" Andrews. Mrs. Strope was a 1966 graduate of Avella High School and attended Penn Commercial College for one year. She worked as office manager of Strope's Speed Shop. Mrs. Strope was Methodist. She loved her cats, the Pittsburgh Steelers and flea markets, enjoyed cooking and baking and loved her family very much. On July 24, 1971, she married William M. (Bill) Strope Sr. who survives. Also surviving are two sons, William M. Strope Jr. and Aaron H. Strope, both at home; and a sister, Linda Andrews Daney of Independence, Mo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 20. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery.
