Betty Jane Paletta, 79, of Washington, died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, in Donnell House, Washington, following a seven-week illness.
She was born July 22, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of Clarence and Mary Herschell Hall.
Mrs. Paletta attended Washington High School. She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church and was a homemaker.
On October 31, 1948, she married Frank Louis Paletta, who died May 20, 2002.
Surviving are five daughters, Rosemary Paletta, at home, Karen Paletta, Pamela Paletta and Kimberly (Lawrence) Sibert, all of Washington, and Lisa Paletta of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Anthony and Danny Sibert; and two stepgrandchildren, Bryon and Todd Sibert.
Deceased is a brother, Robert Hall.
At the request of the deceased, services were private. A blessing service was held in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Father Nicholas Spirko officiating. Interment was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Donnell House, c/o Hospice Care of Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
