Ronald L. Hancher, Sr., 57, of Washington, died Friday, September 26, 2008.
He was born November 8, 1950, in Washington, a son of the late Paul and Charlotte Adams Hancher.
Mr. Hancher worked as a laborer and driver for Camalloy.
He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church, Houston, and the Elm Grove Civics Group. Mr. Hancher was past president of the Claysville Community Center and the Ten Mile Valley Baseball Association, was past field director of PONY Baseball, and was a co-founder of L.T. P. Baseball.
Mr. Hancher enjoyed his grandchildren and especially loved to take them fishing.
His wife, Alma Clark Hancher, died November 23, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Ron (Sundi) Hancher, Jr. of Houston and Jeff (Janelle) Hancher of Washington; three brothers, Paul Hancher, Jr. and Don Hancher, both of Claysville, and Mike Hancher of West Alexander; and four grandchildren, Jacob, Jacqueline, Luke and Landon Hancher.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 29th, with Rev. Nathan Miller and Pastor Kurt Jenkins co-officiating. Burial will follow in West Finley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Assembly of God Church, Benevolence Fund, 155 McGovern Road, Houston PA 15342.
