Mildred Keith Lukas, 82, of Washington, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2005, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington. She had been ill since January.
She was born September 10, 1922, in Wind Ridge, a daughter of John W. and Emma Henry Riggs.
Mrs. Lukas was a graduate of Wind Ridge High School and Penn Commercial College and was a member of Franklin Farms Church of Christ.
She was employed as a payroll clerk at Hazel Atlas Plant 2 for 20 years and at B.F. Drakenfeld for more than 10 years.
Mrs. Lukas enjoyed canning, gardening and flowers.
On June 29, 1957, she married Steven Albert Lukas, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James Allen Lukas of Amwell Township; a daughter, Barbara Ann Lukas Leger of South Fayette Township; and eight grandchildren, Stephanie, William, Daniel and Matthew Leger and James S., Christina, John and Joseph Lukas.
Deceased are a brother, Hubert Riggs; and three sisters, Thelma Riggs, Doris Briggs and Mary Garlow.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 15. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.
