Olive Mae Shrontz

Member of Wolfdale Bible Chapel. Olive Mae Shrontz, 92, of Washington, died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2005, in Washington County Health Center following a three-month illness. She was born July 2, 1913, in Aleppo Township, a daughter of Thomas Dorsey and Kathryn Jane Turner Williams. Mrs. Shrontz was a member of Wolfdale Bible Chapel and a former member of Women's AGLOW. She worked at Allison's Bakery for 15 years and at the bakery in The George Washington. She last was employed at Washington Hospital Extended Facility as a beautician. On December 19, 1933, she married Thomas McClellan Shrontz, who died July 27, 1981. Surviving are two sons, Richard (Frances Ann) Shrontz of Washington and William B. (Sandy) Shrontz of Washington; three daughters, Virginia Coffield and Zeta C. Shrontz, both of Washington, and Debra Kay (Mark) Burt of Houston; a brother, Fred Williams of Washington and Florida; a sister, Kathryn Johnson of Waynesburg; eight grandchildren, Richard Alan Shrontz, Vicki Lynn Shrontz, Kurt Coffield, Lisa DePaoli, Chriss Michael Shrontz, Candi Renee Martin, Dustin Loughman and Jared Loughman; two stepgrandchildren, Jason and Andrew Burt; and 10 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Doyle Williams; a sister, Marvel McBroom; and a great-grandchild, Maddie Martin. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, with the Rev. Fred Helmick officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Memorial contributions may be made to Wolfdale Bible Chapel, 2025 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
