Farmer worked as a welder at O'Brien Steel
Paul W. Cantaral, 96, of Washington, died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2006, in Donnell House, Washington. He had been in declining health for the past year.
He was born January 2, 1910, in Washington, a son of Maurice and Margaret Moore Cantaral.
Mr. Cantaral was a farmer his entire life. He worked in the shipyards during World War II and later worked as a welder at O'Brien Steel for 15 years.
Mr. Cantaral was a former grange member.
His wife, Ada Ruth Logsdon, died in 1990.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including David Romano of Altoona and John Romano of Washington.
Deceased, in addition to his wife, are four brothers, Walter, James, Raymond and John Cantaral; and two sisters, Margaret Huffman and Irma Romano LaVelle.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiaiting. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
