Ralph C. Hanes

Crane operator did electrical and carpentry work. Ralph C. Hanes, 53, of Amity, died at 7 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2005, in Washington Hospital. He was born May 19, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a son of Patricia Ann Smith Hanes of Amity and the late Ralph Albert Hanes. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1970. He had attended Washington Institute of Technology and Community College of Allegheny County for computers. Mr. Hanes did electrical work and carpentry and had been a crane operator. He formerly worked for Kresge Co., A.J. Rentals and Mull Modulars and had been a manager at Schott Equipment. Mr. Hanes enjoyed working and helping his friends. Surviving are his wife, Debby Jane Riggle Hanes; a son, Russell Clee Hanes, at home and a student at Waynesburg College; and two brothers, Donald R. (Karen) Hanes of Washington and Robert K. (Debbie) Hanes of Amity. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
