Kenneth Anthony “Tony” Chandler, 36, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Monday, September 28, 2009. He was born March 3, 1973, in Washington, a son of Thelma Jane Miller Chandler of Washington and the late Lawrence A. Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a graduate of Washington High School and Waynesburg College. He was a supervisor at The Academy, a drug and alcohol treatment facility for teenagers. Mr. Chandler enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, camping, being outdoors, and working with youths in rehabilitation. Surviving are his life-long companion, Autumn Filkorn of Pittsburgh; four brothers, Ronald L. Chandler of Germany, Deon L. Chandler of LeGrand, Oregon, Lawrence A. Chandler of Pittsburgh and Larry Humphreys of Washington; four sisters, Beverly (Ayua) Aku, Deborah Chandler (Michael) Cain, Tracy (Tony) Smith and Carol (Ramsey) Price, all of Washington; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 10 a.m. till Noon, the hour of service, Friday, October 2nd, in Apostolic Christian Temple, 164 West Wylie Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
