Catherine "Kay" Cushman Confort, 75, of Washington, died Monday, December 5, 2005, in Shadyside Hospital after having been in declining health.
She was born in Canonsburg on February 2, 1929, a daughter of Andrew and Helen Goldbach Cushman.
She was a member of the Christian Church of North America. For many years Mrs. Confort had worked as a Waitress in several Washington Restaurants, including Tower and Angelo�s. She loved her children and grandchildren.
On May 30, 1948, she married Paul Confort, who died on August 10, 2001.
Surviving are four sons, Paul A. ( wife Donna ) Confort, Dennis J. ( wife Diane ) Confort, Patrick W. Confort, and Larry N. ( wife Natalie ) Confort, all of Washington; two daughters, Teresa ( husband Dennis ) Perri and Tina L. ( husband Donald ) Gshinsky, both of Washington; three brothers, Edward Cushman of Canonsburg, Bob Cushman of Midland, and William Cushman of Washington; two sisters, Dorothy Kemis of Muse, and Ann Kelvington of Meadowlands; fourteen grandchildren, Dacia R. ( husband Mike ) Goettler, Dia R. ( husband Dave ) Walsh, Fiore A. ( wife Holly ) Perri, Dennis P. Perri, Justin J. Stiles, Joshua T. Confort, Jasmine A. Confort, Antonio P. Confort, Julian W. Confort, Angelo J. Confort, Christina A. Gshinsky, Tara M. Gshinsky, Amber M. Gshinsky, Catherine L. Gshinsky.
Deceased are a brother, James Hartman and a sister, Helen Gallo.
Friends Catherine "Kay" Cushman Confort, 75, of Washington, who died Monday, December 5, 2005, will be received on Thursday, from 7 to 9 pm and Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005, Rev. Rob Berk officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
