Amity man worked for Peters Township schools.
William Edward Anderson, 53, of Amity, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 4, 2005, in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born April 28, 1952, in Washington, a son of Charles and Louise Bopp Anderson. Mr. Anderson was Catholic and graduated from Trinity High School in 1970. He worked in the Peters Township schools maintenance department and previously worked for Tri State Restoration and Kopko Construction. Mr. Anderson enjoyed farming, horses, dogs and hunting and was a member of Moose and Anawanna Club. On July 4, 1984, he married Lois Vance Mounts, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Kenny Mounts of Amity; two daughters, Stephanie Piatt and Stacey Melone, both of Washington; three brothers, Charles (Ida) Anderson of Houston, Robert (Diane) Anderson of Taylorstown and John J. (Bonnie) Anderson of Prosperity; a sister, Tracey (Michael) Semple of Washington; three grandchildren, Jay Crawford Jr., Dennis Piatt Jr. and Kelsey Melone; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 8, with the Rev. Meade Lacock officiating.
