Sarah " Sally " Jane Mcconnell

Sara Jane " Sally " McConnell, 63, of Washington, died Friday, December 2, 2005, following a seven month illness. She was born in Taylorstown, on April 17, 1942, a daughter of Wilbur “ Tom “ and Gladys McDough Stewart. She had attended Claysville Schools and was a member as well as a Deacon at the Taylorstown Christian Church. Mrs. McConnell had worked in the Presbyterian Senior Care Laundry Department. On January 24, 1967, she married Russell McConnell, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Randy ( wife Krista ) McConnell of Washington, and James “ J.R. “ ( wife Amy ) McConnell of Claysville; a brother, John Stewart, of Washington; two sisters, Margie Travis of Taylorstown and Patty McConnell of Washington; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, James, Jesse, Jantzen, Shayla, and Jayden; as well as two great-grandchildren. Friends of Sara Jane McConnell, 63, of Washington, who died Friday, December 2, 2005, will be received on Monday, from 3:30 to 9 pm , in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery, Claysville. The family is requesting memorial donations be made to: Washington Hospital Hospice, Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
