Robert Kevin Bernardini, 46, of Prosperity, died Friday, December 2, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Washington, a son of the late Raymond C. Bernardini, and Linda Leasa Bernardini of Pittsburgh. Mr. Bernardini was a graduate of McGuffey High School and had attended Allegheny Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, a member of the Moose Lodge, as well as Sunset Lodge # 623 F.A.A.M. He was involved in various youth sports and had been a coach of both McGuffey Youth Wresting and South Franklin Youth Baseball. Additionally, he had played in a local Adult Softball league. Mr. Bernardini was formerly a steelworker at Washington Steel Corporation and was presently the owner of All Pro Carpet Cleaning Service. On June 27, 1987, he married Nikki Jo Tilger, who died on May 17, 2005. Surviving in addition to his mother are, step-father, Marvin McGinnis of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Melinda “ Mindi “ Bernardini and son, Justin Bernardini, both of Claysville; a brother, Raymond C. ( wife Carol ) Bernardini, Jr., of Harrisburg; a sister, Nora ( husband Pete Liotus ) Gilpin of Washington; and a grandchild, Aaliyah Ryan McKinney. Friends of Robert Kevin Bernardini, 46, of Prosperity, who died Friday, December 2, 2005, will be received on Monday, from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
