Betty Louise Crouser Pardeaux, 74, of Washington, died Friday, November 18, 2005, in The Washington Hospital following a three-month illness. She was born August 15, 1931, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Russell Harry and Cora Margaret Courtwright Crouser. Mrs. Pardeaux attended West Union Grade School and Waynesburg High School. She was a homemaker and member of West Union Presbyterian Church. Formerly, she had worked for ten years at Federal Paper and had also cooked at many local restaurants. Mrs. Pardeaux enjoyed crafts and painting, and was an avid bowler and bowled at the Alpine Lanes on the Monday night Westsiders Team. She was a member of Monticello Railroad in Cass, WV and Tennessee Valley Railroad and held operator's licenses at both railroads. On September 5, 1989, she married Jerome Pierre Pardeaux, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Harold R. Plants of Washington and James E. Plants of Republic; an adopted son, Robert F. Thomas of Republic; two daughters, Susan Darlene Plants Frazee and Darla Kay Plants Border, both of Lone Pine; two sisters, Katherine Plants of Washington and Grace Frazee of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren, David Millar and Paula Marquis; and two great-grandchildren, Leah Ames and Matthew Marquis. Deceased are three brothers, Donald, James and Robert Crouser; and one sister, Margaret Crouser.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2005, with Rev. Donald DeWeese officiating. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery.
