Kenneth W. Sprowls

Kenneth W. Sprowls, 70, of Washington, died Monday, October 13, 2008, in Donnell House, following a lengthy illness. He was born September 29, 1938, in Washington, a son of Harold and Dorothy Bradley Sprowls. Mr. Sprowls was a veteran of the United States Air Force. For 35 years, he worked as a corporate controller for Delta Airlines. Mr. Sprowls was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking, traveling and helping others. Surviving are a son, Randy Sprowls; a daughter, Lori Sprowls; one brother, Thomas Sprowls, all of Washington; eight grandchildren, Randi Sprowls of Florida, April Costello of Alaska, Ashley Sprowls, Sara Sprowls and Charlie Sprowls, all of Tennessee, Amanda, Bobby and Kenny Sprowls, all of Washington; four nieces and nephews, Kristie Sprowls of Belle Vernon, T.D., Darci and Brad Sprowls, all of Washington; and three aunts, Peg Bradley, Iris Roupe and Jean (John) Shirosky, all of Washington. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 16th, with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion.
