Machinist and farmer
William L. Prigg Jr., 76, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005, in Washington Hospital. He had been ill since March. He was born December 2, 1928, in Washington, a son of William L. Prigg Sr. and Ada Lucinda Milliren Prigg. He was a graduate of Trinity High School. Mr. Prigg was a machinist for U.S. Steel, Millcraft and Washington Tool. He also was a farmer. Mr. Prigg was a member of LOOM 22 and Washington Gas and Steam Association and a lifetime member of NRA. He enjoyed hunting, farming and collecting old tractors. He was Presbyterian. Surviving are four sons, Thomas W. Prigg, James R. Prigg Sr. and Charles Timothy Prigg, all of Washington, and David Wray Prigg of Avella; two daughters, Susan Clemens of Washington and Sandra Monteverde of Pittsburgh; a brother, Morgan R. (Jake) Prigg of Washington; a sister, Ruth Iseman of the state of California; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Donald E. Prigg; and a sister, Mary M. Mego.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, with the Rev. Dr. Susan VandeKappelle officiating.
