Sharon "Colleen" Richmond, 57, of Avella, died Thursday, December 8, 2005, in the Washington Hospital following a four month illness. She was born in Washington on October 10, 1948, a daughter of the late Harold "Apples" Knestrick and Martha Jane Thomas Knestrick, of Washington. Mrs. Richmond was a 1966 graduate of Trinity High School and had once worked at Frazier Simplex, Kroger's, Interform Printing, and most recently for several years at Ray Hough Printing Company as a warehouse manager. She had formerly attended the Bible Baptist Church of Washington and had been attending the Calvary Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed baking for them. On October 21, 1967, she married David D. Richmond, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ryan Richmond of Avella; a daughter, Amy Ullom of Avella; a brother, Howard Knestrick of Muse; a sister, Kathy Knestrick of Carmichaels; two grandchildren, Craig and Caitlin Ullom; fourteen nieces & nephews; nine great-nieces & nephews. Preceding her in death are a sister, Juanita Nixon; and a brother, Donnie Knestrick.
Friends of Sharon "Colleen" Richmond, 57, of Avella, who died Thursday, December 8, 2005, will be received on Saturday, from 7 to 9 pm, and Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2005, at 1:00 pm, Rev. Fred McCloskey officiating. Burial will follow in West Middletown Cemetery. The family is requesting memorial donations to the charity of donors choice.
