Raymond Duvall

Steelworker was horse racing enthusiast, enjoyed farming. Raymond Duvall, 87, of Canton Township, died Monday, October 3, 2005, in his residence. He was born July 25, 1918, in Coal Center, a son of Walter S. and Mary Louisa Jobes Duvall. Mr. Duvall was a steelworker at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for 39 years. He was Protestant. Mr. Duvall was a horse racing enthusiast and enjoyed farming. He built and remodeled several homes. Mr. Duvall was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. His primary caregiver was his daughter, Teena. On March 22, 1957, he married Mary Carroll, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Teena (David) Fisher of Washington, Arland (James) Shrader of Scenery Hill and Nancy Pees of Marianna; two stepsons, Kenneth (Sandra) Weimer of Prosperity and Lanny Dale (Carollynn) Weimer of Maryland; two brothers, Oliver Duvall of Greensburg and Glenn Duvall of Charleroi; a sister, Garnet Barnhart of Marianna; and several grandchildren, including Pete and Edward Pees, James, Dennis and Raymond Shrader, Raymond and Jamie Fisher, Kenneth Weimer, Lori Montana, David and Natalie Emrock, Daniel and Paige Weimer, Brandon, Travis, Nicholas, Cassie, Joseph, Crystlynn, Ryan and Christopher Shrader and Ren Litman. Deceased are several brothers and a sister. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 6. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
