Prosperity woman volunteered at Raccoon State Park.
Lorinda May Richardson, 80, of Prosperity, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2005, in the home of her son, Art Richardson. She was born July 31, 1925, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Austin L. and Lorinda Crawford Horaz. Mrs. Richardson was a graduate of Turtle Creek High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, reading and her family. She was a volunteer at Raccoon State Park and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Symphony and Syracuse University lacrosse. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, Mrs. Richardson was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Chittenango, N.Y., and Church Women United and Leisure Time Club in Sullivan County, N.Y. In 1944, she married Paul A. Richardson, who died in 1980. Surviving are two sons, Arthur P. (Sue) Richardson of Prosperity and Lawrence W. (Mary Beth) Richardson of Syracuse, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Rachael (Joe) Brownlee, Erik (Bethany) Richardson and Lorinda Richardson; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Andrew and Hannah Brownlee; a niece, Pam Nebel; and nephews, Mark and Terry Nebel.
There will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service in her honor at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 29, in Thomas Presbyterian Church, Eighty Four, with the Rev. Linda Jaberg officiating.
