Ree Jean A. Salisberry

Ree Jean A. Salisberry, 91, of Washington, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008, in Donnell House. She was born November 8, 1916, in Washington, a daughter of Fred and Ruth Kahl Blake. Mrs. Salisberry graduated from Newark New Jersey High School. She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church and a member of Esther Circle at the church. Mrs. Salisberry was employed in sales at Sears for 20 years. She was a member of Sear’s Retiree Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Arms Club, Elks, Lagonda Homemakers, and the auxiliary at Presbyterian Medical Center. On August 17, 1937, she married Harold “Buckets” Salisberry, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Richard H. Salisberry, of Washington, and Gary L. Salisberry, of Hemphill, TX.; two brothers, Robert Blake of Worchester, MA., and William Blake, of Monroe Falls, OH.; three sisters, Martha Lacock, of Winter Park, FL., Earnestine Olson, of North Ft. Myers, FL.; and Winnona Mackey, of Stowe, OH.; four grandchildren, Scott, Troy, Shawn, and Richard; and 3 great grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Larry G. Salisberry, who was a casualty of the Vietnam War. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services.
