Orville Lewis Dailey, Sr., 73, of Langloth, died Saturday, February 26, 2005, in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington on January 12, 1932, a son of Charles and Pearl Sibert Dailey. He had attended Washington Schools, was a U.S. Navy Veteran, had worked 17 years as Brockway Glass # 2, and later for McGraw Edison prior to retirement. Mr. Dailey enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar.
His first wife, Shirley Allen, died in 1972.
Surviving are his companion of twenty-four years, Eva Rose Prevost of Langloth; three sons, Orville Daily, Jr. of Bulger, Larry Dailey, Sr., of Washington, Michael Daily, Sr., of Langloth, a step-son Thomas Prevost of Weirton, West Virginia; a daughter Patricia Miller of Langloth, three step-daughters, Kathy Prevost of Bulger, Mary Prevost and Martha Glover, both of Langloth; a brother Charles Dailey of Washington; a sister Eva Sloneker of Washington; several nieces and nephews; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are a son, Danny Dailey; two sisters, Lillian Dailey and Leggie Matthews; and a grandson, Kevin Prevost.
Friends of Orville Lewis Dailey, Sr., 73, of Langloth, who died Saturday, February 26, 2005, will be received on Sunday from 7 to 9 pm, and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will held on Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at 1:00 pm, Rev. Raymond G. Beech officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
