Marjorie Lee Kotora, 82, of Washington, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, in her residence, following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 10, 1926, in Manatee, Florida, a daughter of Earl and Lulu Mae Owen Sweat.
Mrs. Kotora was an administrative assistant at Union National Bank for 18 years.
She was a member of Church of Christ, where she helped with the Tuesday School and served as a Sunday School teacher.
Mrs. Kotora enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, ceramics and feeding birds.
On July 20, 1945, she married Andrew Kotora, who died July 7, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Timothy Earl (Robin) Kotora of Nashville, Tennessee; two daughters, Jenny Lee (Jeff) Lynch of Apex, North Carolina, and Andrea Camille Kotora of Washington; a sister, Geraldine Robertson of Florence, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Chris Lynch, Nick Lynch, Sean Kotora, Jeremy Kotora, Tanner Kotora and Jason Lauze.
Deceased is a son, Lanny Theodore Kotora.
A gathering for friends will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the hour of service, Monday, October 27th, at Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington.
