Marjorie Lee Kotora

Marjorie Lee Kotora, 82, of Washington, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, in her residence, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 10, 1926, in Manatee, Florida, a daughter of Earl and Lulu Mae Owen Sweat. Mrs. Kotora was an administrative assistant at Union National Bank for 18 years. She was a member of Church of Christ, where she helped with the Tuesday School and served as a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Kotora enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, ceramics and feeding birds. On July 20, 1945, she married Andrew Kotora, who died July 7, 2008. Surviving are a son, Timothy Earl (Robin) Kotora of Nashville, Tennessee; two daughters, Jenny Lee (Jeff) Lynch of Apex, North Carolina, and Andrea Camille Kotora of Washington; a sister, Geraldine Robertson of Florence, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Chris Lynch, Nick Lynch, Sean Kotora, Jeremy Kotora, Tanner Kotora and Jason Lauze. Deceased is a son, Lanny Theodore Kotora. A gathering for friends will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the hour of service, Monday, October 27th, at Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington. Arrangements are under the direction of William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
